Introductory Statement
Jean Lim Yu Jun was a student of Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2008 to 2011.
Intellectual Independence and Passion For Learning
Jean is a high achiever who has the potential to excel in all that she undertakes. She is effectively bilingual in both English and Chinese. Her proficiency in Chinese language is evident from the distinction that she scored in the 2010 GCE O-Level Chinese Examination. As a participant in the 2010 Anglican-Chung Cheng High Debate Festival, Jean put her proficiency in the English language to good use and was able to present her views in a lucid and cogent manner.
Jean possesses a keen interest in the Humanities which is reflected in her good results in class tests and school examinations. She has a positive attitude towards studies and strove hard to do consistently well in all her subjects. She could be counted upon to initiate and facilitate discussions during group work and collaborative projects.
Interpersonal Skills
As can be seen from her achievements in Co-Curricular Activities, Jean was able to balance studies with her active involvement in Guitar Ensemble, in which her leadership skills were clearly displayed. She was able to relate well with her juniors and peers, and she displayed commitment to achieving good result.
In 2011, she participated in the Singapore Youth Festival and the Guitar Ensemble achieved the Silver Award. Her participation is evidence of her strong determination to complete the tasks that she sets to do.
In addition, Jean actively participated in the school’s Community Involvement Programme (CIP) like fund-raising through flag day for Thong Chai Medical Institution in 2011, visits to the old folks’ home in 2010, serving as a volunteer in beach-cleaning in 2008 and taking part in fund raising projects such as The Bazaar By The Lake in 2008 and 2010.

Jean is helpful, respectful and friendly to her teachers and peers. She has the maturity to know what to do in different situations and is decisive in handling difficult problems. With her cheerful disposition and optimism, she influences others with a sense of energy and enthusiasm.

Jeanette is a conscientious student with an inquisitive mind. She takes genuine interest in her studies and is determined to perform well. She has an aptitude for analytical thinking. With her ability to think and reflect independently, she makes use of opportunities to create a positive impact in class. Her contributions during class discussions were often perceptive and insightful.
Jeanette is a confident speaker who articulates her thoughts and views well. As a participant in the 2010 Anglican- Chung Cheng Interschool Debate Festival, Jeanette was able to present her views cogently as a debater and was recognized as the best speaker in her class. She is someone who is often counted upon to deliver a fluent presentation for projects.
Interpersonal Skills
As the President of the Student Council, Jeanette demonstrated strong leadership abilities and carried out her duties competently. Her sense of commitment and motivation to achieve targets set are evident in her efficiency and effectiveness in planning and executing school events such as the Student Leaders’ Investiture 2010 and Secondary 1 Orientation 2011. As such, she was nominated to attend workshops and seminars to hone her leadership skills further. In 2010, Jeanette represented the Student Council and collaborated with 2 other schools in organizing and presenting in Building Bridges – a joint leadership sharing session with 2 other schools. Through the use of internet tools, she was able to communicate and foster a strong and smooth cooperation with her partners.
In addition, Jeanette played an active role in her Co-Curricular Activities where she was appointed as a section leader in the school’s Guitar Ensemble. She led her section in practices in preparation for the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Central Judging. Jeanette was able to communicate well with her juniors and provided them with assistance and guidance. She values hard work, cooperation and collaboration. Through her role as a section leader, she was able to inculcate these values, fostering a strong sense of belonging in her members.
Jeanette recognizes the importance and the need to contribute to the community. She participated actively in the school’s Community Involvement Programme(CIP), volunteering her service by making a visit to Geylang East Home in 2008 and raising funds through Flag Day for Thong Chai Medical Association in 2011. Jeanette also went on a service learning trip to Yun Nan, China, in 2010 where she was able to experience a different lifestyle, engage in community projects such as teaching English and building a long jump pit in a local primary school. Through the trip, she developed a strong social conscience. She also attended the Community Service Club Service Learning Symposium 2011 at Dunman High School, sharing about her service learning trip and further developing her civic-consciousness.

Jeanette displays courage when making difficult and unpopular decisions, earning the respect of her peers. She is motivated to do her best and takes great interest in all that she undertakes. Her strong sense of responsibility and initiative led her to be a role-model who was able to motivate and inspire her peers. Jeanette is a diligent and consistent worker who is keen on self-improvement. Despite her achievements, she remains humble and respectful, striving to develop her strengths and improve on her weaknesses.
Jeanette is a reliable and approachable person who can be counted upon to lend a helping hand. She is able to relate well with her peers, and her communication skills enables her to foster and develop good relationships.
Kimberly Tan Hwei-Min was a student of Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2008 to 2011.
Intellectual Independence and Passion for Learning
Kimberly has a flair for Mathematics and Sciences and showed improvement in these subjects in her four years of education in Chung Cheng High School (Main). She communicates confidently with teachers and peers and has the ability to think of creative and unique strategies to solve a problem.
Kimberly has a strong command of English with a flair for writing. She also speaks fluently. An independent learner, Kimberly consistently seeks to improve herself. She also strives to improve her Chinese to enable her to be effectively bilingual.
Kimberly displays a passion for learning and adopts a positive attitude towards her studies, as she firmly believes that knowledge is power and an essential ingredient to a good career for her future.
Interpersonal Skills
A natural athlete, Kimberly excels in both Ten-Pin Bowling and Track & Field. A good team player in Track & Field, her team clinched top 8 position in the 4X100 metre relay in the National Interschool Championship in 2010. She was also ranked top 21 for the All Events in the National Interschool Bowling Championship in 2011.
It can be seen from her achievements in her Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) that Kimberly is able to strike a good balance between academic and CCA demands.
Kimberly was the Captain of the school bowling team in 2011 and took her responsibilities earnestly. She remains an inspiration to the bowling team. Her involvement in bowling goes beyond the school. She is also an active member of the Youth Bowling Squad in the Singapore Swimming Club and participates in numerous interclub tournaments.

Kimberly is a lively and cheerful girl who gets along well with her peers. With good interpersonal and communication skills, Kimberly is able to establish good rapport with all around her. A fast and keen learner, she is reliable and can be counted on to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Kah Mun has the potential to excel in all that she undertakes. She has the determination and ability to breakdown her workload into manageable steps. She is effectively bilingual in both English and Chinese. Her proficiency in the Chinese language is evident from the distinction that she scored in the 2010 GCE O-level Chinese Examination. Her proficiency in the English language is also shown through the commendable results that she scored during her four years in school. Possessing a flair for writing, Kah Mun did consistently well for her English Composition tests, and was selected to represent the school in the annual Commonwealth Essay Competition in Secondary Three and Four.
She is inclined towards the Humanities, enabling her to consistently perform in subjects such as Pure Literature and Elective History. Her neat handwriting demonstrates her commitment to producing high quality work and is an example of her self-discipline and motivation. She actively participates in class discussions and is adept at brainstorming for ideas. She is conscious of the high expectations others have of her and adopts a positive attitude to meet those expectations.

A member of the school’s Info-communication Multimedia Club, Kah Mun attended trainings regularly and contributed to the school actively. She volunteered her services to film and photograph school events such as the National Wushu Competition and the Chinese New Year Celebration. Conscious of the need to give back to the society and community, Kah Mun actively participated in the school’s Community Involvement Programme (CIP), volunteering her service to the Flag Day for Thong Chai Medical Association in 2010. Her eagerness to serve is encouraging and she has over 100 hours’ worth of service for her four years in school.

Kah Mun is able to develop deep friendships with her peers due to her fun-loving personality and she is a source of support for her friends. She does not hesitate to help clear her friends’ doubts. When presenting her ideas, she speaks fluently and exudes confidence.

Sin Yee is a positive worker and saves no effort in improving her performance every step of the way. She works hard to maximize her strengths. She keeps her mind open to new ideas and dares to experiment and venture beyond her comfort zone. She also does not shy away from opportunities to challenge herself. She is keen on self-improvement and hopes to achieve excellent results in everything she does.
Being effectively bilingual in English and Chinese, Sin Yee scored a distinction in the 2010 GCE O-Level Chinese Examination. Her proficiency in English Language was put to good use during the Anglican-Chung Cheng Debate Festival and she was able to come up with strong points which she presented in a lucid and cogent manner.

Sin Yee was able to balance her studies with her active involvement in Co-Curricular Activities where her leadership skills were clearly displayed. She was appointed the captain of the Table Tennis team. She organised an overseas trip in 2010 to Malaysia to motivate and strengthen the bonds within the team. Her leadership was also evident when she made an unpopular choice of increasing the number of trainings per week in an attempt to raise the team’s standards. She also showed her ability to anticipate and resolve conflicts within the team.
Sin Yee displays good sportsmanship during competitions. She is gracious and always strives to do her best in every single match she participates in.
Conscious of the need to contribute to the community and society, Sin Yee actively volunteered for Community Involvement Programme (CIP) such as visiting the elderly in the Geylang East Home, helping out at the 41st Singapore National Age Group Swimming Championship and fund-raising during Flag Day for Thong Chai Medical Association. Her active involvement in CIP shows that she is someone who cares for the community and enjoys lending a helping hand to those who need it.
