Introductory statement
Yan Li was a student of Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2008 to 2011.
Intellectual Indepence and Passion For Learning
Yan Li is effectively bilingual in English and Chinese, and consistently scored distinctions in the Chinese language in the four years of education in school. His proficiency in Chinese language is evdent from the distinction that he scored in the 2010 GCE O-Level Chinese Examination. As a candidate of the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) administered in 2008, Yan Li obtained A grade at the Intermediate level. He also possesses a keen interest in Mathematics, which drove him to attain a Distinction in the New South Wales Mathematics Competitions.
Yan Li has the ability to analyse and evaluate information. He has a positive attitude towards studies, and strove hard to do consistently well in all his subjects.
Interpersonal Skills
Yan Li contributed significantly to the Chinese Drama Club and the club obtained a Gold Medal at the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF). He gained much experience from the competition and learnt about the importance of teamwork. Yan Li believes that effective communication and teamwork are the most important aspects to ensure that the group is bonded.
In addition, Yan Li participated actively in the school’s Community Involvement Programme (CIP). He was involved in the school’s Bazaar-by-the-lake when he was in Secondary One and Three. He gained many management skills from managing the class’s Bazaar stall with his classmates. Yan Li believes that it is important to contribute back to the society. Therefore he volunteered for beach cleaning and Geylang East Home visits to do his part for the society.
Personal Attributes
Yan Li has a pleasant character and has a sense of responsibility. He has a positive attitude towards his studies and strives for excellence in the acadeimc field. He is able to voice out his opinions and is not afraid to help improve the situation using his ideas. He values teamwork, and encourages cooperation and collaboration. With his cheerful disposition and optimism, he does not allow himself to be discouraged by setbacks. Instead, he will do his best to overcome difficulties and obstacles.

Yeo Geng Fa was a student of Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2008 to 2011.

Geng Fa has a flair for Mathematics, scoring distinctions in the four years in school. His passion for learning is demonstrated in his work and his efforts to clarify his doubts with teachers and his friends.
Interpersonal Skills
As a Staff Sergeant in NCC, Geng Fa was able to communicate well and maintain good relationships with his juniors. He also actively participated in community involvement programmes, accumulating more than 100 hours of CIP.
Personal Attributes
Geng Fa is friendly and sociable. He is able to communicate effectively with his peers and teachers. He is also responsible, and strives to finish his homework and CCA work on time.
Zhu Yi Lun was a student of Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2008 to 2011.

Yi Lun is effectively bilingual in English and Chinese. His proficiency in Chinese Language is evident from the distinction that he scored in the 2010 GCE O-Level Examination. He was chosen by his teacher to take part in a Chongqing Exchange Programme where he had the opportunity to interact with the people of Chongqing, China, to understand more about their culture and lifestyle.
Yi Lun has a keen interest in Mathematics and Sciences, which is reflected in his good results in class tests and school examinations. He has a positive work attitude towards studies, and strives hard to do consistently well in all the subjects.
Interpersonal Skills
As can be seen from his achievements in Co-curricular Activities, Yi Lun was able to balance studies with his active involvement in the Infocomm Club. He was able to relate well with his juniors and peers, and his communication skills enabled him to develop a good relationship with his friends.
Being conscious of the need to contribute to the community and society, Yi Lun actively volunteered for Community Involvement Programme such as fund raising for the Thong Chai Medical Association and the Make-A-Wish foundation through flag day in 2011, visits to the old folk’s home in year 2008, sales of coupons for the school’s Bazaar by the Lake in 2008 and 2010. He also helped out at the Ju Eng Home For Senior Citizens during the holidays. Through such experiences, he was not only able to develop his civic consciousness but also proved that contributing to the community can be genuinely rewarding.

A friendly and sociable person, Yi Lun readily accepts feedback on weaknesses and works towards improvement. He takes interest in all that he undertakes and carries out duties promptly and carefully. With his cheerful disposition and optimism, he does not allow himself to be discouraged by setbacks. He is approachable, and can always be counted upon to lend a helping hand to his friends who face difficulties.

Intellectual Independence and Passion For Learning
Zilu is effectively bilingual in both English and Chinese and consistently scored distinctions in the Chinese language in the three years of education in Chung Cheng High School (Main). His language proficiency was demonstrated in the distinction at the 2009 GCE O-level Chinese Examination. He was chosen by his Chinese teacher to participate in a National Secondary Schools Translation Competition in 2010. He was also selected as a leader to take part in Singapore-Shanghai Secondary Schools Student Collaborative Seminar. All these show Zilu’s great passion for the Chinese language.
Zilu possesses a keen interest in Mathematics and Sciences, which enabled him to attain a first runner-up team award, Submarine Category, in the Engineering and Technology Challenge 2009 organised by Nanyang Polytechnic. He also represented the school in the Secondary School Math Quiz 2009 organised by Victoria Junior College. In 2009, he volunteered to attend a 7-hour course on Chemistry organized by Singapore Polytechnic.
Zilu has a positive attitude towards studies, and strove hard to do consistently well in all his subjects. He would approach teachers after lessons to clarify his doubts.
Interpersonal Skills
As can be seen from his achievements in Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs), Zilu was able to balance studies with his active involvement in Chinese orchestra. In 2009, he participated in the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Central Judging and the Chinese Orchestra achieved the Gold with Honours Award. He worked well with his CCA members to ensure harmony in the team, and always encouraged his juniors to do better. He gained much experiences from the many performances staged by his CCA.
In addition, Zilu actively participated in the school’s Community Involvement Programme (CIP), taking part in service learning and volunteering his service during the Circle Line Launch Performance. His active participation in CIP shows that he is someone who cares for the less fortunate and enjoys lending a helping hand to those who need it. These experiences also helped to develop his civic-consciousness to contribute substantially to the community.
