Introductory Statement
Ong Wei Jie was a student of Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2008 to 2011.

Intellectual Independance and Passion for Learning
Wei Jie possesses a keen interest in Mathermatics, which enabled him to achieve a Distinction in the New South Wales Mathematics Competition. He also scored several distinctions in the subject throughout the four years of education in the school.
Wei Jie’s passion for learning is demonstrated by his initiative to clarify the doubts he encounters in his learning. If he is unable to clear these doubts with his teachers, he makes an effort to look for answers to his questions from other sources, such as the Internet.

Interpersonal Skills
As Vice-Chairman of the Robotics Club, he demonstrated his leadership abilities by bringing the members together to achieve success in the competitions in 2010. He is able to communicate well with his juniors, providing assistance when required.
In addition, Wei Jie participated actively in his class’s Service Learning Project in 2010.

Personal Attributes
Wei Jie is friendly and sociable, and is able to communicate effectively with his peers and teachers. He is also very inquisitive, often reading up on topics that were not yet taught. Responsible and diligent, Wei Jie ensures that his work is finished punctually.

Seah Kang Jie Samuel was a student of Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2008 to 2011.

Intellectual Independence and Passion For Learning
Samuel is a high achiever who has the potential to excel in all that he undertakes. He is effectively bilingual in both English and Chinese. He has the ability to analyse and evaluate information and is able to put forth his views concisely during class discussions.
Samuel has a positive attitude towards studies and works hard to do consistently well in all the subjects. He readily accepts feedback on weaknesses and works towards improvement.
Samuel possesses a keen interest in Mathematics and Science and scored several distinctions in both subjects throughout the four years of education in school.

Interpersonal Skills
As can be seen from his achievements in Co-Curricular Activities, Samuel was able to balance studies with his active involvement in Chinese Chess Club. He was able to relate well with his juniors and peers, and developed a good relationship with his friends.
In addtion, Samuel is aware of the need to contribute to the community and society. He participated actively in the Community Involvement Programme (CIP) such as fund-raising through Flag Days. Furthermore, he was involved in a Service Learning project in which he brought a group of elderly to Old Fort Factory Museum so that he would be able to interact with them. This shows that he is someone who cares for the less fortunate and enjoys lending a helping hand to those who need it.

Personal Attributes
Samuel is a friendly and sociable person. He has the ability to remain in control during emergencies and times of crisis. He is also creative in coming up with different ideas to solve a problem. Samuel projects self-confidence, determination and independence. He does not allow himself to be discouraged by setbacks and always strives to overcome difficulties and obstacles.

Ser Zheng Yu was a student of Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2008 to 2011.

Intellectual Independence and Passion For Learning
Zheng Yu has the potential to excel in everything that he undertakes. He is effectively bilingual in English and Chinese. As a participant in the 2009 Anglican – Chung Cheng High Debate Festival, Zheng Yu put his proficiency in the English Language to good use and was able to present his views in a lucid and cogent manner.
Zheng Yu possesses a keen interest in Mathematics and the Sciences, which enabled him to attain a Distinction and a Credit in the New South Wales Mathematics and Science Competitions. He consistantly scored distinctions in both subjects throughout the four years of education in the school. He also represented the school in the Singapore Junior Chemistry Olympiad in 2011.
Having a positive attitude in studies, Zheng Yu works hard to do well in all of his subjects. He readily accepts feedback on his weaknesses and works towards improvement.

Interpersonal Skills
Zheng Yu was able to balance studies with his active involvement in his Co-Curricular Activities (CCA), where his leadership skills were clearly displayed. As the Chairperson in the Chinese Chess Club, he collaborated with several teachers to plan and organise the Chung Cheng Chinese Chess Competition in 2010, showing his ability to work well with others. He also represented the school in many chinese chess competitions, such as the Char Yong Cup East Zone 2011, in which he clinched the 8th place. Projecting self-confidence and enthusiasm, he led the team in attaining the 3rd place in the Nanyang Junior College Cup and 4th place in the Singapore Polytechnic Chess Challenge in 2010.
Being part of the Student Leaders in 2010, Zheng Yu participated in organising school events such as the Investiture and he also helped out during the Open House.
Conscious of the needs of the community and the society, Zheng Yu actively volunteered for Community Involvement Programme such as fund-raising through Flag Days for the Society for the Physically Disabled in 2009. He made a visit to an Old Folks’ Home and served as a volunteer in beach cleaning in 2008. He helped in a Chinese Chess Mentoring Programme organised by Peichun Primary School in 2008 and 2009, and sales of coupons for the school’s Bazaar-by-the-Lake in 2008 and 2010. These experiences helped to develop his civic-consciousness to contribute substantially to the community.

A friendly and sociable person, Zheng Yu is approachable and can be counted upon to lend a helping hand. He is always prepared to lead his team, showing commitment to his daily duties. He has a strong desire to succeed and strives to surmount difficulties and obstacles. Responsible and diligent, Zheng Yu ensures that he does his best in all the tasks entrusted to him. He is very decisive and has the maturity to know what to do in different situations.

Tan Wei Yang was a student of Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2008 to 2011.

Intellectual Independence and Passion for Learning
Wei Yang is a high achiever who has the potential to excel in all that he undertakes. He is effectively bilingual in English and Chinese. His proficiency in Chinese language is evident from the distinction that he scored in the 2010 GCE O-Level Chinese Examination.
Wei Yang possesses a keen interest in Mathematics and Sciences, which enabled him to obtain several distinctions in both subjects throughout the four years of education in the school. He has a flair for Literature and was a participant of the 2009 MOE-Excel Fest Literature Exhibition. He demonstrated the ability to articulate fluently in front of a crowd and conveyed his thoughts effectively to the audience during the presentation.
Having a positive attitude towards studies, Wei Yang possesses good work ethic which drives him to excel in all the subjects. He is a diligent and tenacious student who puts in tremendous effort to achieve the desired results. He listens attentively in class and readily accepts feedback on weaknesses.

Interpersonal Skills
Wei Yang was able to balance studies with his active involvement in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA), where his leadership qualities were clearly displayed. As the Vice Captain of the C division basketball team, he led the team to the top eight placing in the East-Zone Interschool Basketball Competition for three years (2008, 2009 and 2011). During the competition, Wei Yang displayed the spirit of perseverance and determination, and motivated the team to fight on even when they were trailing.
He is versed in martial art and achieved the black belt after four years of intensive training in St Teresa’s martial art convent. He is also involved in sailing and achieved a sailor rank certificate.
Being conscious of the need to contribute to community and society, Wei Yang actively volunteered for the Community Involvement Programme such as fund-raising through Flag Days for the needy in 2011. He made visits to an Old Folk’s Home in 2008 and 2009, and displayed care and concern towards the elderly. He contributed to the school by selling coupons for the school’s Bazaar by the Lake in 2008 and 2010 to raise fund for the school’s upgrading project. These valuable experiences helped to develop his civic-consciousness.

Wei Yang projects self-confidence, authority and determination. He is always prepared to lead his basketball team, showing commitment in weekly trainings and competitions. He does his best in everything that he undertakes and does not allow himself to be disheartened by obstacles and setbacks.

Teo Cheng Peng Kyle was a student of Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2008 to 2011.

Intellectual Independence and Passion For Learning
Kyle is effectively bilingual in English and Chinese and consistently scored good results in the four years of education in the school. His proficiency in the English language was put to good use during the 2009 Anglican – Chung Cheng High Debate Festival as he was able to present his views in a lucid and cogent manner. Kyle was appointed as the leader for the project work in 2009 and demonstrated his commitment to his role by ensuring that the assigned task was completed on time. Determined to perform well, Kyle readily accepts feedback on weaknesses and works towards improvement.

Interpersonal skills
As the section leader in his CCA, choir, Kyle demonstrated strong leadership abilities and carried out his duties competently. He ensured that ample opportunities were given to his juniors to develop their leadership skills. He was able to communicate well with his juniors and provided them tutelage and assistance, especially during the SYF period. He also joined the National Inter- School Taekwondo Championships for Kyurugi (sparring) and did the school proud by winning 3rd place.

Personal Attributes
Kyle projects confidence, authority and determination. He is always prepared to lead his team, showing commitment in his daily duties. He has a strong desire to succeed, and he never lets down those that believe in him. He has the maturity to know what to do in different situations and is decisive. Kyle is also a friendly and sociable person, and can be counted upon to lend a helping hand. With his cheerful disposition and optimism, he does not allow himself to be discouraged by setbacks, striving to surmount difficulties and obstacles instead.
