Jun Jie excels in Mathematics and consistently performed well in his Mathematics tests and exams. He gives his effort to obtain good results and does not give in to adversity. He is not afraid to voice out his doubts and takes the initiative to arrange consultations with his teachers.

Jun Jie volunteered for Community Involvement Projects like flag day in 2011, visits to the old folk’s home in 2009, and sales of coupons for the school’s Bazaar by the Lake in 2008 and 2010. Through such experiences, he developed his civic consciousness but proved that contributing to the comunity can be genuinely rewarding.

Lin Shih-Hong Scotts Lin was a student of Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2008 to 2011.
Intellectual Independence and Passion For Learning
Scotts is effectively bilingual in both English and Chinese. His proficiency in Chinese Language is evident from the distinction that he scored in the 2010 GCE O-Level Chinese Examination. As a participant in the 2010 Anglican – Chung Cheng High Debate Festival, Scotts put his proficiency in the English Language to good use and was able to present his views in a lucid and cogent manner.
Scotts possesses a keen interest in Mathematics and the Sciences. He attained a Distinction in the New South Wales Mathematics competition. He scored straight distinctions in Mathematics and several distinctions in the Sciences throughout the four years of education in the school. He also took Japanese as a third language subject. He performed very well in the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test Level Four, scoring full marks in the vocabulary section.
Scotts is an independent learner who continually seeks to improve. He displays a sense of curiosity and does not hesitate to seek clarification when necessary. He promptly responds to requests and accepts new ideas readily. When given a challenge, he is always ready to face it head on.
Interpersonal Skills
As can been seen from his achievements in Co-Curricular Activites (CCA), Scotts was able to balance studies with his active involvement in Concert Band, in which his leadership skills were clearly displayed. As the Drum Major and Section Leader in the CCA, he was able to motivate others and communicate well with his committee and juniors, often provided them tutelage and assistance. In 2009 and 2011, Scotts participated in the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Central judging and the Concert Band achieved the Silver Award for both years. He also took part in the National Band Competition in 2008 and achieved the Silver Award.
Scotts actively participated in the school’s Community Involvement Programme (CIP) and is personally conscious of the need to contribute to the community. His active participation in CIP shows that he is someone who cares for the less fortunate and enjoys lending a helping hand to those who need it.

Lucas is effectively bilingual in English and Chinese and has the ability to analyse and evaluate information. He takes pride is his work and ensured that they were of high quality and submitted promptly. He has a positive attitude towards studies, and strove hard to do consistently well in all of his subjects. He often approached teachers after school to clarify his doubts. Lucas participated actively in class and his contributions during class discussions were often insightful and perceptive.
Lucas possesses a keen interest in Mathematics and Sciences, which enabled him to attain a Distinction in the New South Wales Mathematics and Science competitions. Ting Jun is effectively bilingual in English and Chinese. He is a fast thinker and has the ability to analyse and evaluate information quickly. He is straightforward and expressive, as he is not afraid to voice out comments and suggestions to contribute to class discussions. He has a positive attitude towards studies, and sets goals for himself to strive hard towards. He is also not afraid to clarify any doubts with teachers when he faces any problems in his studies.
Interpersonal Skills
Ting Jun participated actively in the school’s Community Involvement Programme. He was involved in a Service Learning project in which he accompanied the elderly to Old Ford Factory. He was noted as a kind and approachable student. He also kept the elderly occupied on the long bus ride from the old folk’s home to Old Ford Factory by chatting with them.

Yin Zhi is a high achiever who has the potential to excel in all that he undertakes. He is effectively bilingual in both English and Chinese. His proficiency in Chinese Language is evident from the distinction that he scored in the 2010 GCE O-Level Chinese Examinations. As a participant in 2009 Anglican – Chung Cheng High Debate Festival, Yin Zhi put his proficiency in the English language to good use and was able to present his views in a lucid and cogent manner.
He has a positive attitude towards studies, and worked hard to do consistently well in all the subjects. He participated actively in class and his contributions during class discussions were often insightful and perceptive. He could be counted upon to initiate and facilitate discussions during group work and collaborative projects in which the ideas that he shared typically formed the basis of his group’s assignments.

As the Vice Chairman of the Audio Visual Aids (AVA) Club, Yin Zhi demonstrated strong leadership abilities and carried out his duties competently. He ensured that ample opportunities were given to his juniors to develop their leadership skills. He was able to relate well with his juniors and peers, and his communication skills enabled him to develop a good relationship with his friends.
In addition, Yin Zhi is conscious of the need to contribute to the community and society, and actively volunteered for Community Involvement Programme such as fund-raising through Flag Days between 2008 to 2010.
