Lim Li Ying Wilda was a student of Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2008 to 2011.
Intellectual Independence and Passion for Learning
Wilda is a courteous and helpful pupil who will always volunteer to help her teachers or classmates. She has the capability to take on more responsibilities and has the drive to excel in both academic and non-academic areas.
A diligent and disciplined pupil, Wilda takes pride in her work and sees challenges as opportunities to further improve herself. She makes intelligent contributions to a discussion and displays keen interest to explore new strategies when faced with challenges. She is effectively bilingual in both English and Chinese, and attained a distinction in the 2010 GCE O-Level Chinese Examination. Interpersonal Skills
As can be seen from her achievements in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA), Wilda was able to balance studies with her active involvement in Choir. She was in the Choir for four years and was part of the group which won a Gold Award in both the 2009 and 2011 Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Central Judging. A dedicated and loyal member, she was chosen to be the Secretary and she assisted the President and Vice-President of the Choir in handling the administrative tasks of running the Choir. In addition, Wilda was able to communicate well with her juniors and provided tutelage and assistance to them on many occasions.
On top of that, Wilda actively participated in the school’s Community Involvement Programme (CIP), taking part in Bazaar by the Lake in 2008 and 2010, as well as the ‘Love Beyond Borders : Card making for Underprivileged Children’ programme in 2009. She is personally conscious of the need to contribute to the community and enjoys lending a helping hand to those who need it.

Intellectual Independence and Passion for Learning:
Janice is effectively bilingual in English and Chinese, and consistently performed well in both subjects in her four years of education in Chung Cheng High School (Main). She has a positive work attitude and is able to put forth her views cogently. Janice is a conscientious student and displays a passion for learning. She is an independent learner and is determined to do well academically. Janice also has an enquiring mind and continually seeks new knowledge.
As a judge in the 2010 Anglican High – Chung Cheng High Debate Festival, Janice showed her ability to think critically and offered perceptive comments.
Interpersonal Skills:
As can be seen from her participation in Co-Curricular Activities, Janice was able to balance studies with her active involvement in the Chinese Calligraphy Society. She was able to relate well with her peers, and her communication skills enabled her to develop a good relationship with friends. Displaying her enthusiasm, she actively took part in the Spring Couplets Writing Competition in 2011.
In addition, Janice always volunteered for Community Involvement Projects like fund raising through flag day in 2011, visits to the old folks’ home in 2008 and 2010, sales of coupons for the school’s Bazaar by the lake 2008 and 2010, and the cleaning of the beach in 2008. Through such experiences, she was not only able to develop her civic-consciousness but she also proved that contributing to the community can be genuinely rewarding. Janice’s active participation in the community involvement projects shows her compassion as well as her willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Janice also took up the responsibility of being the Welfare Representative of her class in 2010, in which she demonstrated commitment, responsibility, consideration for others at all times.

Xin Hui is effectively bilingual in English and Chinese. Her proficiency in the Chinese Language is evident from the distinction that she scored in 2010 GCE O-level Chinese Examination and also the grade A she achieved in the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK). She was selected to take part in the National Chinese Win-Win Competition in 2009.
Xin Hui is perceptive and is able to analyse issues. She shows a keen interest in Mathematics and Sciences, and she participated in the New South Wales Mathematics Competition and Singapore Junior Chemistry Olympiad 2011. Her diligence and hard work allowed her to attain a merit in Singapore Junior Chemistry Olympiad. Furthermore, she consistently scored distinctions for both Mathematics and Chemistry throughout the four years of education in school, demonstrating her drive to excel in her studies. In addition, she possesses a flair for writing and participated in the Commonwealth Essay Competition.
Xin Hui strives to excel in all subjects. She approached and arranged consultation sessions with teachers after lessons to clarify her doubts. She has a strong passion for learning. She also ensured that her work was of high quality and submitted promptly, a testimony of her self-discipline and motivation.

Appointed as the Deputy Head of Administration, she put her organisation skills to good use as she ensured that the administrative work were neat and updated frequently. In addition, she showed her commitment by working closely with her teachers to ensure that her responsibilities were fulfilled. As a member of the Testing Board in NPCC, she displayed her helpfulness by volunteering her services in promotion tests that were organised. As the Secondary Two squad leader, she was able to relate well to her juniors, and cooperated with her peers in leading the squad through the year. Her mentoring skills were put to use as she patiently guided her squad in learning new skills during each activity. Promoted to the rank of Station Inspector in her squad, she remained humble and gave due recognition to her peers as she worked together with them to achieve a Unit Overall Proficiency Award in 2010 and 2011.

She helped in the sales of coupon for the school’s Bazaar by the Lake in 2008 and 2010 as well. Mandy is an avid learner who aspires to give her best in school. She possesses a keen interest in Mathematics which enabled her to attain a High Distinction in the New South Wales Mathematics Competition 2009. Mandy never gives up and would seek help from her teachers and classmates whenever she faces a problem in her studies. Such an unrelenting spirit is what makes Mandy a confident learner who will do her best each and every time.
Interpersonal Skills
Mandy was able to balance her studies with her active involvement in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA), where her leadership skills were clearly displayed. As a Patrol Leader in her CCA, Mandy was able to communicate well with her juniors and provide guidance and assistance to them on many occasions. She was also appointed the Cheering Mistress where she led the juniors to cheer and have fun.
As the Class Treasurer in Secondary Three, Mandy took up the responsibility to handle the money that the class entrusted her with. When a task is given to her to collect money, Mandy will not hesitate to start on it immediately, and was often able to give the collected money to the teacher in a week. She is responsible and efficient in keeping track of the expenditure of the class fund.
In addition, Mandy actively participated in Community Involvement Programme (CIP) both in and out of school. She participated in Beach Cleaning in 2008, Beyond Borders: Collection of Recyclables in 2009, Make A Wish Flag Day in 2010 and OCBC Cycle Singapore in 2011 where she was assigned as an usher. Si Hui is effectively bilingual in both English and Chinese, and consistently scored distinctions in the Chinese language in the four years of education in Chung Cheng High School (Main). Her proficiency in Chinese language is also evident from the distinction that she scored in the 2010 GCE O-level Chinese Examination. As a participant in the 2010 Anglican-Chung Cheng Interschool Debate Festival, Si Hui was able to putforth her views in a lucid manner. Her results in Mathematics and Science are commendable as she scored several distinctions in the school.
Si Hui ensured that her work was of high quality and submitted promptly, a testimony of her self-discipline and motivation.
