Interpersonal Skills
Yan Li contributed significantly to the Chinese Drama Club and the club obtained a Gold Medal at the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF). He was chosen by his teacher to take part in a Chongqing Exchange Programme where he had the opportunity to interact with the people of Chongqing, China, to understand more about their culture and lifestyle.
Yi Lun has a keen interest in Mathematics and Sciences, which is reflected in his good results in class tests and school examinations. He has a positive work attitude towards studies, and strives hard to do consistently well in all the subjects.

His language proficiency was demonstrated in the distinction at the 2009 GCE O-level Chinese Examination. He was chosen by his Chinese teacher to participate in a National Secondary Schools Translation Competition in 2010. He was also selected as a leader to take part in Singapore-Shanghai Secondary Schools Student Collaborative Seminar. All these show Zilu’s great passion for the Chinese language.
Zilu possesses a keen interest in Mathematics and Sciences, which enabled him to attain a first runner-up team award, Submarine Category, in the Engineering and Technology Challenge 2009 organised by Nanyang Polytechnic. He also represented the school in the Secondary School Math Quiz 2009 organised by Victoria Junior College. In 2009, he volunteered to attend a 7-hour course on Chemistry organized by Singapore Polytechnic.

Wei Jie possesses a keen interest in Mathermatics, which enabled him to achieve a Distinction in the New South Wales Mathematics Competition. He also scored several distinctions in the subject throughout the four years of education in the school.
Wei Jie’s passion for learning is demonstrated by his initiative to clarify the doubts he encounters in his learning. If he is unable to clear these doubts with his teachers, he makes an effort to look for answers to his questions from other sources, such as the Internet.

Her proficiency in Chinese Language is evident from the A grade in the HSK State Commission of the Chinese Proficiency Test and the distinction that she scored in the 2010 GCE O-Level Chinese Examination. She also represented the school in the 2010 National Chinese Creative Writing Competition for secondary schools and achieved a gold award.

She was chosen by her teacher to take part in a Chongqing Exchange Programme in 2009 and Nanyang-Chung Cheng (Main) Collaboration at Fudan – a six-week immersion programme in 2010 where she had the opportunity to interact with the people of Chongqing and Shanghai in China to understand more about their culture and lifestyle. She demonstrated independence and enthusiasm throughout both overseas programmes and participated actively in all the activities.

As a participant in the 2009 Anglican- Chung Cheng High Debate festival, Joseph put his proficiency in the English Language to good use and was able to present his views in a lucid and cogent manner.
Joseph has a keen interest in Mathematics and Science, which is reflected in his good results in class tests and school examinations. He was selected to take part in the National Zonal Badminton competition in 2008, 2009 and 2011.  He was able to relate well with his juniors and peers, and his communication skills enabled him to develop a good relationship with his friends.  He also provided tutelage and assistance to his juniors on several occasions.  Also, being a member of the school’s Choir ensemble, he took part in the 2010 SYF opening ceremony and a competition in Hong Kong Disneyland in December 2010. This gave him an opportunity to interact with students of other schools and other countries. 
He actively paticipated in community involvement projects like fund-raising through flag days for the Thong Chai institute Of Medical Research and Make A Wish Programme in 2010 to help the less fortunate. In 2008, he made a visit to the old folks home and made sales of coupons for the school’s Bazaar by the Lake. In addition, through the SPHERE project in 2010, he attended to the Old folks who were invited to the school and had an enjoyable time with them. Through such xperiences, he was not only able to develop his civic consciousness but also proved that contributing to the community can be genuinely rewarding.
In school projects, he is responsive to giving and receiving ideas and opinions. He promotes harmony among peers and often acts as a mediator between two group members with opposing ideas.

Tet Yuan is effectively bilingual in both English and Chinese. His proficiency in the Chinese Language is demonstrated by his distinction in the 2010 GCE O-level Chinese examinations. He also did consistently well in his ten academic subjects. He also has an aptitude for the Science and Mathematics.
Tet Yuan possesses an eager and positive attitude towards learning. He participates actively in class discussions and contributed insightful comments. Determined

Interpersonal Skills

As seen from his Co-Curricular Activities (CCA), Tet Yuan was able to balance his studies with his involvement in his Wushu CCA. He made the effort to hone his skills by attending the practices consistently. Tet Yuan was also able to communicate well with his peers and he provided assistance to those in need of it. He turned up to support his peers in the Wushu competitions, encouraging and cheering the team on.
Tet Yuan contributed to the school’s Bazaar by the Lake. He helped to set up the booths where food were sold. He also helped to sell the items during the sale. Furthermore, Tet Yuan actively participated in the school’s Community Involvement Programme (CIP), lending a hand in the cleaning of the Pasir Ris Beach in 2009, participating in the Race Against Cancer in 2009, visiting the Geylang East Home in 2010, undergoing Service Learning Training in 2010 and taking part in the Sphere project in 2010.

Yvonne Lim Fang Yu was a student of Chung Cheng High School (Main) from 2008 to 2011.

Intellectual independence & Passion for learning
Academically, Yvonne shows constant improvement in her studies and is a role model for many of her peers. She seeks to sharpen her thinking skills and broaden her knowledge all the time, a product of her relentless, never-say-die attitude towards learning. She is also generous with sharing her ideas and helping others during group work. A bilingual student, she participated actively in the 2010 Anglican- Chung Cheng Interschool Debate Festival and also represented the school in the 2009 National Chinese Win Win card competition, receiving a merit award. She is independent and has the ability to think out of the box, yet she is also humble.

Interpersonal skills
Yvonne is determined and resilient. As the Chairperson of Art Club, she organised several Community Involvement Programme (CIP) and camps for her CCA. She sets clear goals and strives towards them, motivating her CCA members to work together and strive for excellence too.  As a chairperson, she put in great effort to master her art skills, spending much time to attend more art courses. She showed her leadership skills in guiding tours at the Singapore Art Musuem (SAM) and Vietnamese Art Festival. She also contributed significantly in the 2011 Singapore Art Biennale SPOL project. As a result of her passion and commitment, she was awarded the champion in the “Towards 2010 Singapore Youth Olympics” on the spot art contest organised by Ai Xin Arts & Cultural Development Association in 2008, 3rd placing in the Singapore International Water Festival on the spot art contest in 2010 and silver award in the annual South East District Graffiti Arts competition.
Her adminsitrative abilities was demonstrated during the CIP programme with sparkle tot where she conducted an art and craft workshop for the children. She handled the coodination between the organisation and the trainers, and was able to engage and obtain the cooperation of the children and her peers alike.

Outgoing, confident and sociable, she is also a great motivator. She is a responsible student who puts her artistic flair to good use by volunteering to be in the class noticeboard committee. She helped her class win several inter-class noticeboard compeitions.

Asher is a diligent student who strives to be the best in all that he undertakes. He has a positive working attitude and does not succuumb to difficulties easily. He is highly motivated and thrives on challenges, showing a single minded drive to achieve his goals. This could be seen in the 2010 GCE O-level Chinese examinations, for although he was weak in Chinese, he displayed strong perseverance and drive, and managed to clinch a distinction in that examination.
Asher participated in the Australian Mathematics Competition, Singapore Mathematical Olympiad and Biomedical Olympiad and achieved distinction award, honorable mention and bronze award respectively. He has a strong passion for learning and never fails to consult his teachers to clarify his doubts.

Interpersonal skills:
As can be seen from his achievements in Co–Curricular Activities, Asher was able to juggle both his studies and commitment towards volleyball well. As the vice-captain of the school’s volleyball team, he demonstrated his drive to excel by training hard. During training sessions, Asher takes time to guide his juniors to ensure that they improve. Kai Xiong is effectively bilingual in English and Chinese. His proficiency in the Chinese Language is evident from the distinction that he scored in the 2010 GCE O-level Chinese Examination. He also shows a keen interest in understanding the cultures of others, as he took part in a Chongqing Exchange Programme where he had the opportunity to interact with people of Chongqing, China.
He is persuasive, and received recognition for it in the 2009 Anglican-Chung Cheng High Debate Festival as the best speaker for his debate session. He put his proficiency in the English Language to good use and was able to present his views in a lucid and cogent manner. He also takes pride in learning, and this is evident in his daily homework, which is neat and submitted punctually. Due to his leadership abilities and deep understanding of the respective subjects, he is often appointed as group leader during group work and group discussions. He never fails to rally his team and ensures that the assigned tasks are completed on time.

Kai Xiong was inspirational in his Co-Curricular Activity (CCA), where his leadership skills were clearly displayed. As chairman of the National Police Cadet Corp(NPCC), he played a vital role in working with teachers to bring the unit to greater heights. He was a role model to his juniors. He was also able to relate well with his juniors and peers. His communication skills enabled him to bring up key ideas clearly, facilitating easy understanding and quick learning by his juniors. Projecting confidence and enthusiasm, he led NPCC in attaining the Gold Award in the Overall Unit Proficiency Award in 2010, an Inter-School competition organized by the NPCC Headquarters. Due to his discipline and steadfast commitment to the Unit, he was given the honour to represent his school in both the National Police Annual
Parade and the National Day Parade. He was also appointed vice-captain when taking part in the Inter-School Campcraft Competition in 2009. He was also awarded the Singapore Police Force Badge, the pinnacle badge for all NPCC members.
In addition, Kai Xiong is empathic and conscious of the need to contribute to the community and society.  He actively volunteered to help raise funds for the needy through numerous flag days organized by many different charities and organizations. Chong Yong displays a passion and determination for learning, and seeks to excel in all that he undertakes. He is effectively bilingual in English and Chinese. His proficiency in his mother tongue is evident from the distinction he scored in the 2010 GCE O-Level Chinese Examination. He also attained Grade A at the Intermediate Level of the 2009 HSK Chinese proficiency test. As a participant of the 2009 Anglican-Chung Cheng High Debate Festival, he exhibits poise and confidence, and was able to present his views in a lucid and confident manner.  
Chong Yong shows remarkable interest in the science and research field, representing the school in the Singapore Biomedical Olympiad 2011 and the Singapore Chemistry Olympiad 2011. He also displayed outstanding scientific knowledge and skills in the Finals of the National Science Challenge in 2010. He attained the Merit Award in the Singapore Polytechnic, School of Chemical and Life Sciences Spelling Bee 2010. An avid geography academic, Chong Yong participated and went on to the Finals of the ACJC Geography Quiz 2009. He also won the 1st Prize in the prestigious Landscape Model Competition 2009.
Chong Yong was a finalist in the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Cashflow Competition. He was also a facilitator at the Citi-NIE Financial Education Conference in 2008 for the Cashflow sharing session for teachers and the Youth Leaders Summit Singapore 2009 for Praxis.
In addition, Chong Yong was proudly awarded the coveted Dr Chuang Chu Lin Scholarship in 2009 for attaining 1st in standard.
Despite his many achievements, Chong Yong remains humble and never ceases to strive for excellence in all that he pursues.

As seen from his achievements in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA), Chong Yong was able to strike a balance between his academic studies and interests. His devotion in the Dance Club nurtured his capability to express his ideas freely through the performing arts. As a senior member, his leadership skills were clearly displayed when he motivated his peers and brought the team to greater heights. He attended various sharing sessions and performances by local and international dance companies to further hone his movement and artistic qualities, and was selected to perform in a school’s concert as an approval of his capabilities. In 2011, he participated in the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Central Judging and the Dance Club attained the Silver Award.
As a member of the Executive Committee of the Student Council in 2010 and 2011, Chong Yong actively participated in organizing numerous school events such as the annual Open House, Secondary One orientation and various celebrations. Although he was tasked to improve the school’s image and discipline, he did not come across as domineering and received positive feedback from his teachers and peers for his role.

Intellectual Independence and Passion For Learning
Jia Wei is a high achiever who has the potential to excel in all that he undertakes. He takes pride in his learning and has the ability to analyse and evaluate information. His contributions to class discussions and project work were insightful and perceptive. He listens attentively in class and take notes of what the teachers highlight during lessons. Filled with a postive attitude towards acquring knowledge, he constantly improves on his weaker subjects and would initiate discussions with his subject teachers after lessons.
Jia Wei does his work with quiet confidence. Being effectively bilingual in the English and Chinese language, he expresses himself clearly in class. His good command of English is evident from his participation in the annual Anglican-Chung Cheng Interschool Debate Festival in 2009 where his confidence and fluency in the language was rewarded when he clinched the best speaker award in his debate session. Jia Wei’s proficiency in the Chinese Language was illustrated in the Grade A in the intermediate level of the 2009 Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) and the distinction in the GCE O-Level Examination in 2010.

Interpersonal Skills
Not one to limit his four years of education in the school only to academic pursuit, Jia Wei took up responsibilities in his Co-Curricular Activities(CCA), Volleyball, and in Student Council. Projecting confidence and enthusiasm in his CCA, he was selected to represent the school in the annual Volleyball Competition. As a key player in the school team, he exhibited perserverance and put in his best effort for every game. The training made Jia Wei a mentally resilient and versatile individual who sees challenges as opportunities for growth. He is also charismatic and is able to rally the team to do their best through encouragement and concern.
Since 2009, Jia Wei puts his heart and soul in serving the school as a student councillor. He was elected as the Head of Human Resource for the Board due to his well organised, resourceful and methodical mind. He led the councillor in duties during events such as Chinese New Year Celebrations and Meet-the-Parents Session.
Being conscious of the need to contribute to the community and society, Jia Wei volunteered for the Overseas Community Involvement Project organised by the school to Cambodia in 2009 and to YunNan, China, in 2010. His decisiveness was evident from the efficiency of his team in executing plans and achieving their goals. He alsomade a visit to the local Geylang East Home.
